Just wondering if there is anyone on the antique side of fly tying I came into possesion of some old stuff just wondering if there is some info out there .. as to is it something to use or to .. hold on to .. wheatly fly boxes .. reels.. etc. the fly boxes are loaded with flies as well I will try to take pics of all the boxes .. and post them.

Generally, the only wheatley fly boxes that are worth any amount are the ones that have the windowed compartments. Also, large salmon fly models that have the large clips and multiple panels are quite collectable. Ebay has lowered the prices of these fly boxes over the years. Take some pics, especially of the flies as not only are full dressed salmon flies worth money, but also flies that can be attributed to certain well known tiers. Also, antique flies that have authentic indian crow feathers that are in excellent shape can have increased value.

I just want ppl. to know it's not what the $$ value is I want to know if it has value I will not use it .. .. and yes once i get the sizing figured out i will post pics .. I have been to richard wheatly's web site. I'm not here to get rich I just want stuff like this land in hands that might be something that is a keepsake is all ..
