Hey folks,

New to the waters in southern NB. Was wondering if anyone knows the fishing regulations for West River near Alma, you cross over it on the 114 on the way. Looks like it would be home to some good fishing, nice clear water by the looks of er anyways. Could be wrong but looks like it branches off of the Shepody? If that's the case then I'm assuming the regs. for Shepody take precedence and fishing wouldn't commence until May 15? Also, crooked creek would also be governed by the regs. for the Shepody river correct? Nonetheless, just lookin for some confirmation!!

Thanks in advanced for the info!

i'm not familiar with the river, but you mention close to Alma, just make sure it's not in the Park.. you need a park fishing license to fish anything inside that area

If u decide to try west river, make sure to wear your thermals, neoprene waders and shove some of those hotpacks in your boots, water there im sure is the coldest water that isnt frozen!! But ive usually only go after a heat wave in middle of aug.
