I've been out fishing many times in the Little river this season but have yet to see or catch a trout. I have heard of people catching them but, have yet to witness it. I've caught 5 bass so far.

there are several Little Rivers here, sounds like you are in Moncton, right? there are trout besides the smallies, could be stripers and shad in the lower sections.

i've heard about trout and bass there for years, i wonder when the smallies were put there, anybody know? i think they were they stocked with the others 100 years ago by train.?

This is the "little river" in Salisbury, I fish right beside the bridge on the bend going up river.

I've fished the little river near salisbury and have caught both trout and bass in the past. The bass typically hold up near where it feeds into the petitcodiac. I've caught some nice trout down off nixon rd where there are some nice pools but, that was a couple years ago. I've tried since but with little luck. I was there during an active mayfly hatch and there was no action on the water which, was a little disheartening.

Bass are fun to fish but it'd be nice to hook onto a nice trout too, but with the way things look around here that may take awhile.
