If would put my boat in by the Hiway bridge in jemseg and sailled out to the st john river by the ferry would it be a good spot for stippers? Ive never fished for them but i would like to get geared up it. I would be bait fishing so what king of lures would be best for me to use? How close to shore do you fish? Or how deep of water do you fish in? I would be open to other locations to if better, not looking for specific spot just general area. What kind of water conditions should i look for? Should i troll or cast out on anchor? Again not looking for any secrets just general beginer info on how to get one hooked up.

Thanks

Harry there is a good launch in the village of Gagetown and one at colwell,s (might be a "d" in that)wharf.Good striper fishing at both location's,you can catch stripers the entire length of the river(st john or jemseg),although some places are better than others.Good luck :)bigger the bait the bigger the fish

Harry, U can put your boat in under the Trans Canada hwy bridge off #105. Travel down river about a mile and u will see a train bridge on your right. That is the entrance to Harts Lake. Lots of stripers have been caught in that area. Further downriver u will come to the Gagetown boat launch and marina and just below that is the Ferry.
