Please don't even mention smallmouth bass and S.Oromocto lake in the same sentence - I almost had a heart attack.
Nice trout lake, pretty heavily fished though. Best fishing is in the spring for the 1st month or two. Used to catch some dandies there years ago, there are still nice trout in it, but the avg. size has diminished greatly over the years..... not too many guys releasing any fish out there for some reason.
They are down the Sand Brook Rd just off the paved road and it is the first road on your right. You have to walk in there is a camp down that road and he has a gate on it. There is a pit in there where people use to fire the guns in and he dont want that anymore in fear of getting shot..follow the road pass the pit and stay to your left after that cant miss it....
Went to the fall yesterday water I think was too low did not catch anything. May have more lucks earlier in the season. Good spot for "sunday drive" with the gf as it is very scenic there.
