Hello! We're going To Grand Manan in july. Do de need any permit to fish on the salty shore?

I believe you don’t need a license for tidal water. Idk if the open ocean and tidal are considered the same thing.

I do not think a license is needed as Esox said I seem to remember that there was a limit on groundfish and no Halibut at all. I can't remember specifics so it would be best to reach out to DFO

There is a very short halibut season and a 5 ground fish limit if I remember correctly.
