I've been hearing stories of people catching them in the river and was wondering if anyone on here can confirm this as I have never heard of them being in the river? Or maybe its just me not knowing much about fishing?

They're there, there's no doubt about it. People only catch them on rare occasions though. I wouldn't target them.

I use to live in Rothesay years ago and once in awhile they would run the Hammond river. We would fish just below the highway where the river crosses, there use tobe a Chinese resturant.

You are right about them being in there. I went out today got one today, must've had some luck with me eh.

Is there a fall run in the Hammond and if so roughly when would it be?
