Any flies in particular? Many boats in the river around the blackville area? Haven't been over that way in a while, was hoping there's enough water to run the boat without bying a new prop! Will take any advice you have.

We were using Maribou Flies. There were boats still running the River it is dropping but very clear typical for Early May , There are still some fish around but you have to work for them a little, but they are getting strong and put up a fiesty Fight.

We indeed made it sunday morning. Fishing was tough due to the slight raise from Saturday's rain. Landed 3 fish, all 36-38 inches.
Beautiful silvery fish with a lot of FIGHT!
Flys that fished well were a black rabbit strip with orange hackle (yes, indeed tied by the Goodfly!) which landed one fish, and a similar fly tied by myself (orange tail, orange collar with a black wing and throat tied on #2 9XL) which landed 2 fish.

Also caught a dozen trout in the 14-16 inch range, two were kept as they were very badly hooked. All others were released unharmed to swim another day!

After sitting in the sun, laughing, making memories and even landing some fish, the day was considered a great success!
Was another great day under the eagles nest!

Thanks for all the input,
M
