We normally fish the C&R after when the river drops in early July through August and have great luck with small brookies. Does it fish well early June with larger flies? It seems to run deep, muddy and fast.

Started with a floating line and all I was getting were salmon par using a mosquito. My buddy found a wooden paddle with intials on it if anyone knows someone who might of lost it can contact me to get it back

been thinking about heading down to the C&R stretch soon...usually early June is good down there...just need a few dry days to get the water levels down a bit more

nbdeerhunter no problem let me know if it might be your buddies paddle, as far as fishing that part of the river for any readers of this post .. it is being watched hard and not only by CO's it is C&R and the residents along that part of the river are on board.

well zamboni-guy I am glad to hear that...I have seem way too many trout killed on that C&R stretch over the years....that is my favorite trout fishing river ever and always enjoy a trip down there to the C&R stretch!!!

have you been up around where the south branch drains in...wondering what its like up there....some real honey holes in that area. specially once you figure out some of the holding spots
