Not this place specific, but I heard about the "black pool" though... no bright salmon yet... a few jump/rolling but nothing to trigger the green light yet

... but a few trouts 10-12inches

i went up last weekend in NW there a grilse that was caught in blacks pool and a few more at wayerton bridge also one was caught in the mouth of renous ans main SW

brights have been on the NW for over a week now. there were some large salmon seen by the crown reserve clean up crew on a couple of the streatches...

I'm good! how about you???? looking forward to getting things going...first weekend is the 12th, full force from there....off july 1-18, so hopfully the run is good, if not i'll cut it short and save some time for later in the year. Got a special trip to the Square Forks this year

Friend of mine got invited to bighole on the NW, so who knows that could turn into something as well....all is good. bring it on!!!

the big hole!!??--my camp is very close and i don't get a crack at it(they booted me out one day) -that is some pool--i'm off those first two weeks of july as well--maybe i'll see you around

I had the good fortune of fishing both Big Hole and Square Forks and although Big Hole is awesome, i prefered Square Forks for the fishing and the unique landscape!

Was up there Fiday and Saturday (before it started pouring) and it was pretty quiet.

i was up friday and saturday up NW and ive only seen one guy catch a grilse and a few jump.... water level was low for time of year but little higher than the weekend before....

I go fishing the NW tomorow around the horshoes I give you and update when I arrived from my trip.

I arrived from my trip on the NW around the horseshoes, no luck for me and don't see nothing but I speak to somebody there and he told me that few fish were caught but not to much around the horseshoes seems to be a slow start and the river is low for this time of the year.

Lucky dawg!!I haven't been to Square Forks since I was a kid watching salmon jump up the falls there 30 years ago(I've never fished it)

The NW Miramichi is now catch and realesed from june 30 to july 31 for the lower portions and the upper portions is from june 30 till the end of the season.
