Just saying hello to the new forum. I'm from Moncton and fish for Trout and Salmon around the province but mainly in Renous for salmon and around Moncton for trout. I've been to Depot and Crawford the last two seasons and can offer some advice to who needs it. Looking forward to the experience here. I have a camp in Renous that I just aquired and man is it great!!! Can't wait for the brights to show up. Yee Haw

any info have have on Crawford and the depot CR's would be greatly appreciated.
May try to get a late season date on 1 of those stretches

welcome to the site!!
I was at Depot in July 2008 on the 16-18th and had excellent luck there. The first day I personally hooked into 5 grilse, no salmon around at all on both days between 4 of us. If you have a bike or access to one definitely bring it. There is high bank on your way down to california pool not to far from the camp, you can see a foot path on the bank. The river bottom was low at that time where you enter, cross the river and walk down about 30 yds. and you will see some big rocks close to the high bank and thats where I hooked the 5 grilse on the first day. There were grilse also hooked at camp pool & california pool.

As far as crawford goes I was there June 10-12th last year and there were no salmon hooked or grilse just trout. You can take your vehicle to all the pools. Water was high then and some pools were unfishable but I think the bridge pool had most of the trout. The biggest 18 and 1/4. The group after us said their previous trips the trout were at alder run, we didn't make it there.

Hope this helps out! Any more Questions or what flies we used ask away.
