I have never fished them but we met a guy by the Oromocto Marina last Saturday and he was going to fish for them right there on the St.John River.

the most popular place to surf fish for stripers on our side of the bay is probably the cause way to maces bay. that whole area is striper surf fished. closer to you look for points with rip or steped beach. most stream and river mouths should draw in stripers.

try the st. john river & tributaries tidal waters when you get a chance, if you catch one it`s more likely to be a good size.

Surfhunter, I am new to striper fishing so certainly don't have tips on how to fish for them but I do know some spots off of the Bay of Fundy and the Petitcodiac. I am looking for some tips myself on baits to use and what tides to fish. If you or anyone else wants to trade info just send me a PM
