I have not started to fish Muskie as of yet but I have a cottage on the Washademoak and was curious if there is any documentation of Muskie in the lake, or Grand Lake? I would imagine that there would be a few considering they have a large population in the St. John River.

I do throw some bigger baits for pickerel and stripers but have not encountered a muskie (yet), I have my fingers crossed though.

I can't confirm this personally, but I was at Phil's Bass shop recently and was told that last year there was a muskie caught in Maquapit Lake. If they are there they had to go through Grand Lake.

That being said, I haven't heard of many being caught downriver from Oromocto. Yet.

I heard from a couple of guys last year that a Muskie was caught in the St.John River at the mouth of Hearts Lake.
That's not far from Washademoak. And would have a say there is the odd one in Grand Lake as well.
Last spring they caught a Muskie in the eel nets in French Lake.

Rob.
