Miramichi May Stripers

Hey, I've got an oddball question most people might not understand but hopefully someone can give me some advice. I'm a kayak fishermen that has NEVER fished the Miramichi river during the striper run in May but have seen and heard lots of things about it. I'd really like to get out this year and hit this famous spot but I have a couple obstacles in my way. First off; I'm a kayak fishermen as I said and I'm not sure how well a kayak would fair on the "mighty Miramichi", are the winds bad? Is a kayak not a good idea? Secondly; I do not drive. My father in law usually takes me out and drops me off for a couple of days and I'll either stay at an airbnb right on the water I'm looking to fish or I'll bring a tent or hammock and sleep right on the shoreline in a cluster of trees that's on crown land as I dont have the option of driving up early and fishing for a day and driving back. I'm usually there for at least one overnighter, possibly two or three. Is this doable on the Miramichi in the areas the stripers spawn in? It would be a bummer to get driven all the way up there and not be able to find a suitable place to pitch a tent or hang a hammock for the night. Also open to airbnb options but the ones I have found seem to be either way too expensive for a night or not directly on the river and as I don't have a vehicle I can't lug my kayak long distances to water. Any body have any insight on how I could accomplish this? Thanks.

The miramichi can be unpredictable but lots of people kayak fish it, just watch the weather and be careful, even if you can’t fish from the yak there are lots of great shore fishing spots. Enclosure campground is a great place to stay that’s right on the water, I stayed there in the fall and didn’t have to leave to catch fish there’s a boat launch and lots of access.
There is no problem fishing the Chi in a kayak, as long as you’re experienced and understand the dangers. I have been fishing the river since I was a child from canoe, kayak, and bass boat. All three have excellent uses and plenty of spots for great fishing.
Bring a fly rod too. Some of the best fly fishing in the world.
If your yak has a trolling motor, take it with you, it’s a damn big river and the fish move a lot.
