Hey fellas,
I am wondering if there are any small mouth, or other fish in the series of lakes on Golden Grove Road.
I fly fish and really want to target some small mouth, and I live on Golden Grove, so it would be nice and convenient.

Any other handy spots that might produce some smallies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Fletch B. I live just down the road... (on Hunter Lake!).

Most of the lakes on Golden Grove produce Pickerel. Atleast Kelly Lake does. Which is the lake on the right hand side, just after Churchill road. (If you are driving from town, out towards Upper Golden Grove.)

Other lakes I believe contain trout. As for smallmouth, I have never caught any in that area.

Bradley Lake (further out Golden Grove), is also pickerel.

I am told there are smallies in Doland Lake on the back side directly across from the store and also in Shaw Lake, that is the one between Kelly and Doland. Kelly lake also has trout. Lilly Lake up town has smallies in it, fish right at the beatch just to the left of the swimming area.

The pickerel in Kelly Lake haven't eliminated the trout yet? Nice. I figured the trout would be gone by now, with the pickerel population there growing. Since it's a pretty small lake.

I've only fished spoons there. I'll have to try worm some time, or a rapala.

Any decent size trout there? Browns or just specks?
