not bad for this early in the season. were you fishing from shore or boat? i also hear the summer flounder are hitting. hillbilly and i will have to do a shore run - we fish all along the shoreline from SJ to St. Andrews, then fish the lakes back - a long day and great fun!!!

high tide i assume?

i fished off the sure at the causeway bridge by little lepreau.caught some smelt at little lepreau worf. was fishing in beaver harbour sunday ,got nothing when the tide was high their was a guy said they caught a lot of flounders out by the lighthouse i will try their next time ......

They have been catching loads down at pointe du chene wharf for the past 1 week. They're pretty small in size but no shortage of them from what I seen.
Oh ya! The mackerel fishing has been on for a couple of weeks now in the Northumberland Strait. They've also been catching cod in the strait a mile or so off the Richibucto bar. That's a good sign, as we haven't seen cod there since the Newfoundland cod crash.
