Hi folks! I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone knew where abouts around the Moncton area is the place to go ice fishing. I've never done it before but very interested as a new activity in the Winter and I hear the fish is best eating during this season. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Moncton, eh? If I were you, I'd drive down to Shediac. Go on the Pointe-du-Chêne wharf, and there should be some ice shacks there in the bay. Just scoot on down to one of them and knock on the door, and ask if they or someone they know would let them fish in it. Someone will likely let you use theirs when they're not. While you're there, be sure to ask them what their technique is and what equipment you need so you can get yourself set up for when you come back the next day or whenever. At least that's the way it goes with ours in Rothesay.
