How would you fish a small, very muddy pond with very little structure or plants of any kind. The whole pond is about 5 feet deep all the way across, likely shallower in some parts. What would you use?

Fo you have a google map link or image?
If the pond doesn’t connect to another larger water source I doubt it is sustaining small mouth. Have you caught any out of it?

The fishing environment is different to determine the length of the rod, if it is reef, breakwater fishing, then generally recommended 5.4 m iso fishing rod, if it is boat fishing then you need to be shorter, such as 3 meters, which requires their own choice according to the environment.
