Half Moon

Has anyone been up on Half Moon, Juniper area on the Miramichi, are the any salmon or sea trout around. If so what are they taking on, Ive never been up there and wanted to know if its decent fishing or not. Thanks for any info

Shouldn't this thread be in "Rivers and Streams", not "Lakes and Ponds" ?

....ummmm,yeah it should...but o'well?

I fished HalfMoon and several pools upriver below the forks and also up the south branch a couple miles on June 4-5th.I never caught a trout over 10" long.Most I talked to beleived the main run was 2 weeks early and up into the North Branch C&R water before the counting fence was even installed on May 24 week-end?They only counted 300+/- fish from may 24th-June 1st....then just a few stragglers after that.Typically the sea-run should peak from June 4-10,but like everything else,it was early this year.
