Folks -

Just looking for a bit of 'inside' info on this piece of water. Our crew is heading up to Groundhog next week and are very much looking forward to it. We have however, never fished this bit of water and are looking for insight on pools, trails, camp etc.

Any honey holes that should not be missed, lies that might be overlooked, trails we should not venture on. Any and all insight will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

We had a great weekend!!!

Dark Pool was full of huge fish, I CnR a grisle there, Saturday morning.

I had the more action in Three Drop pool just near the camp, in about an hour Saturday afternoon, I caught a 18 inch trout and CnR 2 grilse, a salmon and hooked another one but did not land it, he got my orange bomber and I did not catch anything after that... So make sure you bring a couple of them lol

Thanks again ltff!

Has anyone been up to Groundhog lately? This will be our first trip to this stretch, looking for recommendations on pools, flies or anything else of note? Also wondering what the fishing has been like and water levels, any fish around? Thanks

The above posts are pretty much the most recent visits to this camp. We are also going up shortly to this camp, only a few weeks to go and we are off. This will be our first time at this camp, we've spent some time at Elbow, Narrows, Depot over the last few years, and this year is our time to test out a new site. We're all really looking forward to it... I know from past experience on the Sevogle green Machine with a white tail are very good, Blue Charms are decent, black bear with some green or orange... they seem to be attracted to bug type flies, so i'd try these out for sure.. Good Luck bud, report back any news you can once you arrive back!
