One of my favoutite authors!! If you salmon fish you have to read "Song of the Reel" and "Six Salmon Rivers and Another" I have first editions in both. The "Jimmy Why" books are wonderful books for young readers but I just loved to read them to my kids. When they grew up I gave them to a father in NB to read to his kids and when he was done with them to pass it on to a young family. I hope they are still being passed on and enjoyed.
I have a fly of his and it is in one of his books. His sister lived not far from me in Wolfville NS and it wasn't for years that I made the connection. If you haven't enjoyed his books it is a must read!! Thanks Greyghost for posting this, it brings back good memories.

Thanks Ghost. Awesome, I had seen this before but forgot about it. It was good to see again.

Do you guys see what Dr. Clark did??? He educated himself, he read, he spoke to people, he made friends, not enemies. He thought for himself, he didn't jump on the band wagon just because everyone else did. If anything he was the driver of the band wagon. Be a driver not a jumper.

I have the two salmon books, Someone Before Us and one of the Jimmy Why books. I had and lost a soft covered book about the expulsion of the Arcadian's. Every few years I re-read the salmon books. he makes you feel like your on the river hooking the fish yourself. He truly had a gift. I wish he had written about his grouse hunting exploits .
