Went fishing this afternoon. Caught a small trout after about 3 hours of fishing. Saw a Bald eagle fishing too. Wonderfull day. Everyone I spoke to on the river said they didn't have much luck.

Went there 3 times this year. I caught and release only 2 trout (6 and 8 inches). Has anyone caught a sea run this year in the Moncton area?

Depending on whether you fish upriver or down depends on when you hit sea trout in the Cocagne area (more specifically Kent County in general). Typically, they're downrivers April'ish, mid-rivers May'ish and will be uprivers June'ish, and waaay up rivers July'ish and much harder to catch unless you're fly fishing.

I was at the bridge in Poirier Office over the weekend. I hooked a few 5-6 inches but released them. I was a nice morning on the river. Got to see a Moose too.
