We don't have crappie in NB that I know of ,but there are lots of sunfish in GrandLake and the Saint John river
Where would you find them at . Also what are other name's they go by ? I've been wanting to try one forever.I know that there are Crappie in New Brunswick Canada. Most times these fish are caled something else but they are Crappie. Some places in the states they call them Calico BNass and some fishermen call them by many different names. If you have ever ate Crappie you would never go back to trout unless you are catching wild trout. It is a pretty sad thing whern you live in a country Like Canada and the government has to stock certain species of fish. The stocked trout taste like the liver pellets they are fed until they are big enough to survive out in the wild.
Once you catch your limit of Crappie and gut and scrape them of their scales they are super tasting.
