A video of the bass action last night on the Canaan. Seems only senkos produced, rigged up wacky style. Some nice jumps caught on cam, a few at 120 FPS which I'm pleased about. Lost some other 120 fps footage though, which bites. Bnoseworthy landed 6 nice bass that night.

Some more Canaan footage. Shot last night, will probably be headed there again tonight as well. Been very productive fishing the last week.

Still from the video:

Thanks!

I'm looking for some folks interested in fishing the Canaan with me some evenings. As long as you're cool with me documenting it and are reputable; meaning I know you aren't going to exploit what I show you. There has been a lot of bass action though there was a lull last night because of the extreme heat. That said I'm starting to see some very large pickerel in some areas.

If anyone is interested shoot me a PM, we may be able to set something up. I got some ideas for some spots I want to explore more thoroughly as well.

I was out today from 3 to 6pm. Caught a nice pickerel on a rainbow lure. Tried the topwater frog and got a strike immediately.

I hit up the Canaan today with MonctonFishernoob and he landed a monster 19.5 inch bass!

Almost ready to post a new video. Fishing picked up tonight and I am slowly amassing some new footage.

Guys, what part of the Canaan river you are talking about? :) The bridge close to New Canaan? Thanks!

I fish the river as high as where it meets Ridge Brook to below where the cherryvale bridge once was and everywhere between.

Edit - I got another video in processing.

No still needed here, it has footage of the 19.5 incher. Been doing some experimenting with camera work when solo.

Where is Ridge Brook? Close to Forks and Keirstead Rd. on Google Map?

Was out for 7 very slow hours. I decided to document it. The video is processing. I talk a bit about how to spot bass holds on a river.

Its much slower paced than normal. Only one smallie caught on camera. Monster bass though.

Still of the bass for those who don't want to watch the boring video for one smallie:

Yes the same run we did. Just slightly down river from your 19.5er. All my bass takes were at that section and below where we got out that night.

EDIT - Last night's outing

I was out 2 days ago and caught three.  I find by the end of June it slows down but things are late this year.  Was nice to catch a few still.
