Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried to make or know where to get a good eel mold. The price of a package of 2 eels in a retail store is $18 - $25!
Thanks,
Rob

Can easily/cheaply be done using plaster of paris as a one-piece mold (not completely round), or a two-piece mold which is a bit trickier but is still fairly easy. I have an eel waiting for me to make a mold at the moment. try a few quick youtube searches and you should get a lot of videos you can view on procedure.
I make many of my own soft plastics using my handmade molds, and also from molds bought online. I have also started dabbling in making my own crankbaits / jerkbaits as well. A good past-time for those winter non-fishing days (i don't get out ice fishing nearly as much as I would like).

Thanks for responding,
Plaster of paris would work OK I guess. Do you use plastisol for your plastics? Luremaking is a great pastime in the winter months. I haven't made too many lures other than a jerkbait for muskie and lots of big flies for lake fish mostly.
