Often see fish jumping in the river from Gondola Point Road

Any ideas on type of fish

Jumping clear out of the water, or splashing a bit off the surface with their tails? The former is a sturgeon, the latter is a gaspareau.

Joe, My friend on Gondola Point mentioned this to me as well last week. There could be some sturgeon breaching the water, or possibly baitfish. I think any gaspereau are probably gone by this time.
