There used to be a nb boat launches on google maps but I couldn't find it the other day. There definitely is private launches at both lakes.

Ok thx, I wonder if there private if there just for camp owners or if non camp owners can launch. Want to try to fish some different lakes but can't find which ones have a place for the public to launch at. Would like to find some good bass fishing and even pickerel fishing

Grasssnake9 I rented a cottage a couple of years back on 1st Eel lake and the owner told me that I was allowed to use the launch at the bottom of Tamarack Ln. some of the residents were very helpful but when I was leaving an elderly couple blocked the lane stopping me from leaving telling me that it was their lane and I shouldn't be using it unfortunately that was the only non private launch that I saw on the lake.

Ya alot of ppl at those lakes think they own it all. But most are very helpful. If your in that area try benton pond for picks. I've been told its the very best of fishing there. It's on my hitlish this yr for sure.

I remember putting into first eel a long time ago but couldn't remember if it was a public launch or someone we knew.

Black1987 I've heard Benton was good, have you ever tried the kilmarnic dead water? Haven't been there in a couple yrs but use to be awesome, would fish there for 3 or 4 hrs and have non stop action. My biggest there wa in the late 90's at 29 1/2"

Yesir thats a nice 1. I haven't fished it but want to at some point. I grew up close to Williamstown lake which we always called Lakeville lake. I know we have hauled some picks out of there pushing 30" over the years. Seen a guy catch a really nice sm bass out of there too 1 day.

We use to catch some nice ones in the Avondale deadwater at one time but the last few yrs they have only been averaging 16". There's the odd nice smallie in there as well
