Thinking about fishing Landlocked Salmon on one of those Tetagouche Lakes coming up soon. What size reel and pole would be best for them? Not using flies. Any tips on bait, hook size? Thanks in advance.

A bad day fishing beats a good day working.

Med 7' rod, various size crank baits and spoons. Trolling flies are a must if your trolling.

I have no experience on the Tetagouche Lakes but several years ago I hit Oromocto Lake in the south of NB one day with no clue what I was doing and scored several landlocks by slowly trolling large streamer flies while motoring in an S pattern with almost all my line draggging from the arse-end of the boat.
Worked for me!
